Since 1995, The Career Wardrobe has assisted over 50,000 women by inspiring the confidence necessary to achieve independence. The Career Wardrobe’s Gateway to Success Seminars and Professional Women’s Network, provide educational and networking opportunities for women to help them retain employment and develop a successful career plan. The Career Wardrobe needs volunteers to lend a hand at their Wardrobe Boutique in the Spring Garden section. The Boutique is a space where women who are transitioning into the workforce may come to acquire the attire needed to attend interviews and work in a professional environment. All volunteers are required to attend a brief orientation on Thursday, March 4 from 5 – 6 PM to learn more about the Career Wardrobe and what specific projects they will be working on during the March 6th volunteer day. The orientation will take place at the Career Wardrobe Boutique at 1822 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, 19130. At the March 4 orientation, volunteers will be learn about specific tasks they will complete on the March 6 volunteer day. The types of tasks volunteers will be asked to complete include the following: •Sorting clothing •Re-hanging clothing on racks in store area •Assisting customers with making clothing selections for job interviews and other professional occasions •Other tasks as identified by Career Wardrobe staff Volunteers should dress in casual, comfortable clothing. Volunteers should wear comfortable footwear as the event will require a lot of standing and walking around. The Career Wardrobe Boutique is located at 1822 Spring Garden Street, at the corner of 19th & Spring Garden Streets. Metered parking is located on-street; the SEPTA’s Broad Street Orange Line Spring Garden stop is located 5 blocks west of the Boutique. Thank you for your interest.
