February 15, 2010 9:00AM-1:00PM Norristown Police Athletic League 340 Harding Boulevard Norristown, PA 19401 The Greater Norristown Police Athletic League is a non-profit, volunteer organization serving the youth and families of the Greater Norristown community with recreational, educational, and cultural programs addressing citizenship, self-esteem, avoidance of substance abuse, and respect for law and order. Since 1976, Greater Norristown PAL (GNPAL) has served thousands of area youth in a variety of programs. Volunteers are needed to help PAL finish the work started on the 15th Annual MLK Day of Service! Volunteers can support PAL by helping complete several maintenance projects. Volunteer tasks will include: o Apply touch up paint to areas specified by PAL staff o Hang shelves o Sort books in library o Shelve books in library o Help with other reorganization tasks in library Volunteers should dress in casual and comfortable clothing. As painting will be involved, volunteers should wear clothing that they will fell comfortable painting in. Parking is available in PAL's lot and on street.
